Currently we have a challenging starting position available for an ambitious Graduate with a Master or Advanced degree in logistics/supply chain or quantitative discipline, in our CEE (Central and Eastern Europe) Distribution Operations Team in Warsaw. This role is part of our global Shell Graduate Programme for Downstream Supply Chain.

The role
The Distribution Operations Analyst provides analytical support to the CEE Distribution Operations team to deliver value through safe, compliant and efficient supply chain management. She/he shall will work on core processes within Distribution Operations and at the interface with Order-to-Delivery/Hydrocarbon Management/Retail, drive cross-functional processes, efficiencies and improved decision making through automation, innovation and leveraging the power of data. This role focuses on the following core areas:
• Digital & Automation
• Analysis
• Communication
• Projects

Dimension
• The role will cover CEE Distributions Operations in Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Bulgaria and Slovenia
• Managing a diverse range of priorities
• Multiple stakeholders in CEE Trading & Supply and Global Trading &Supply, Order-to-Delivery, Hydrocarbon Management, Finance.

Shell Graduate Programme
Embarking on the Commercial Business area of the Shell Graduate Programme, you'll join a three-year competence-based training programme where you'll experience working in two roles, each lasting approx 18 months. Shell’s global network of experienced professionals will offer you invaluable guidance to prepare you for long-term success in our integrated value chain. You’ll discover your strengths in an environment where you’ll be able to develop your leadership skills. You'll strengthen your knowledge about commerce and we will support you to develop your business acumen, and to become a game changer in helping to meet the world’s future energy needs.

Downstream Supply Chain
A career in Shell’s Downstream Supply Chain offers the opportunity to generate value across our global supply chain and for inquisitive minds to gain exposure to multiple business areas. It’s a dynamic and competitive environment where the aim is to deliver Shell products safely, while maximising efficiency and profits.

You'll receive training in areas including supply chain, refinery economics, price risk management in the oil market and integrated supply chain management. To supplement your practical training you will be enrolled onto formal learning courses specific to your area of expertise. These might include Negotiations, Supply Chain Economics or Leadership. Throughout the Shell Graduate Programme you'll receive coaching from your direct Line Manager and your Mentor. Regular progress checks will help determine the direction of your career progression and development plan.

Who we're looking for:
• Ambitious graduate with Master or Advanced degree in logistics/supply chain or quantitative discipline (econometrics, statistics, operational research, computer science).
• Fluent in Polish & English.
• Mobile within Poland (first assignment in Warsaw possibly followed by rotation to Krakow offices).
• Curiosity about developments in the technology landscape pertaining to supply chain/logistics. Ability to absorb and apply new technical information.
• Ability to take a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving and pay close attention to detail. Focus on process improvement with proactive ability to use information to identify and address gaps
• Ability to organize, plan, and handle multiple concurrent tasks with appropriate priority
• Ability to turn data into critical information and knowledge that enables sound organizational decisions.
• Skill in data visualization and knowledge of statistical analysis, quantitative analytics, forecasting/predictive analytics, modelling and optimization algorithms.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written); interpersonal skills, influencing skills and a collaborative approach for use in engaging with colleagues and stakeholders. Can do attitude. Relationship building skills.
• Self-motivated, results driven with ability to work with ambiguity and uncertainty.
